About Me
Exploring Law, Learning, and Life Beyond the Classroom
Hi, I’m Philipp! I decided to take a gap year before college to explore law and learn outside the classroom. I wanted to gain experience in the legal field and find out what being a lawyer truly entails before I committed to it academically. Getting legal experience as a high school graduate isn’t easy, but I was lucky to find mentors who opened doors for me. From shadowing attorneys at Baker Manock & Jensen to interning with the corporate team at SuperClean & Dirty Bird Laundromats I’m eternally grateful for my experiences. Along the way, I’ve learned that law isn’t just a career; it’s a language of understanding, problem-solving, and connection.
Why I Started This Blog
I started this blog to share the lessons I’ve learned during my gap year—what it’s really like to learn about law before law school, and how curiosity can turn everyday experiences into opportunities. If you’re a student wondering what it’s like to work in law, or just someone who’s curious about my experiences, I hope these reflections, interviews, and stories can offer something useful!
